The All's Eye "Say What You Wanna Say": A Psychedelic Groove with Soul and Substance
The All's Eye is a genre-blurring trio from New England, and they have hit it out of the park again with their latest studio single called "Say What You Wanna Say." This faithful vocal version of Ari Joshua's original instrumental boogaloo covers the spectrum from funk to psychedelia, while leaving plenty of room for heartfelt expression and a collective aural experience.
The tune is layered, captivating, and most importantly, fun. It follows the vibrant interplay between Kris Yunker’s textured keyboard tones and Ben Atkind’s more seriously heavy drum grooves. Given the resultant aural palette, the pair creates melodic sounds that are simultaneously retro and refreshingly modern. Ari Joshua’s guitar work is horn-like, so it propels the melody forward, while his vocals are somewhere between clarity and cosmic warmth. The production was recorded at the legendary Carriage House Studios, and overseen by production engineer Mclee Mathai, mixed by Jakael Tristram, and mastered by Joe Lambert. The result sounds well balanced and distinctly full of sonic depth.
“Say What You Wanna Say” lives up to its title and encourages listeners to tell their truth and be themselves. It’s a feel-good anthem about connection and liberation wrapped in a groove that moves you.
With recent projects like Blurry Face and the forthcoming Reversible Submersible, The All’s Eye is helping to shape Music Factory Records’ Spring 2025 run with progressive artistry. This song is one you must hear.
