Chucky Trading Co.; Their second full-length album, "A Sky of Hope", is a fulsome and departing work of art for the duo from Manhattan - undoubtedly folk-rockers, but also so influenced by their roots in Laurel Canyon that they are nourished by Nashville and New York inspirations. Brothers/sisters CS Taber and Patricia "Danger" Taber have created a signed 11 set of songs with a blend and fusion of sounds that is unique to the band, including the acoustic warmth, lyrical explorations, and willingness to infuse styles to push the boundaries of folk-rock.

The band traverses the emotional distance from the poignant and melancholy of "Charly's Alone", an essence of courage and survival, to the reminiscent tonalities and deliberate playfulness of "Clever Girl"; stylistic and content extremes. They inextricably flyer back and forth between deep and useful philosophies; ("High Desert Flowers", "In the Dark") layered melodies and lush harmonies; nocking nostalgia with innovation; while the narrative qualities of their songs are lifted and explores by use of experimental flourishes, synth lines, unconventional drumming, and multiple vocal layers reflecting all that is new for this extremely ambitious and deeply human, sonorous album.
