We Told You So has spent nearly a decade building a reputation on the Canadian punk circuit, and their new EP, A New Frame of Mind, feels like the record that earns everything that came before it. Formed in Trois Rivières, Québec, the band has played festivals including Pouzza Fest, Rockaganza, and FestiVoix, and shared stages with acts like Lagwagon and The Flatliners. That history shows in how confidently this eight-track release moves.

The EP's greatest strength is its honesty. A New Frame of Mind doesn't hide behind volume or speed the way some skate punk tends to. Jim Giguère's vocals carry grit without losing melody, and the songwriting stays close to lived experience rather than slogans. Tracks like Anchor in the Storm, written during a period of personal loss, and Time to Rise, an anthem built around self-belief, give the EP its emotional spine.
